Full House and Lively Social Programme on the Cards for Palma Superyacht Show

As in previous years, exhibitor stand space was quickly snapped up for this year’s edition of the Palma Superyacht Show, and the same can be said for the available berths. In no time flat, the 65 spots were all reserved by the world’s most acclaimed brokerage houses, and there are still many more yachts on the Palma Superyacht Show's waiting list keen to secure a spot in the limelight.

This year’s selection of confirmed yachts is deliciously varied: from light and nimble sailing yachts -on call to cruise the Med or compete in the next regatta- to tri-decked mega motor yachts, boasting the highest level of comfort and luxury.

Only two of the superyachts bound to be admired by ogling eyes are the 34.10m classic sailing yacht MERRYMAID and the 33.91m FRIVOLOUS, one of the hottest examples from the popular Sunseeker 34m series. The Charles E. Nicholson-designed gaff cutter MERRYMAID was built by Camper and Nicholsons in 1904. This regal beauty won the King's Cup in her first season of racing, and has sailed thousands of miles on her many world voyages. This dramatically beautiful and ready-to-go-anywhere-yacht is now available for a new, equally intrepid Owner, to cruise on even more adventures.

The contemporary and stylish motor yacht FRIVOLOUS’ hydraulic swim platform, fly bridge with jacuzzi, bar and retractable canopy make her the perfect yacht for relaxing in comfort and style. Think sunny, lazy days enjoying shaded siestas, cooling dips in the sea, al-fresco dining and watching unforgettable sunsets from the yacht's generous fly bridge.

This year’s inaugural Refit and Repair area, (also a ‘full house’) will play host to the Captain's Corner, an area where cutting-edge seminars and product launches will take place. Companies keen to utilise this interactive way to connect with existing customers and potential new clients, are advised to get in touch with us soon, as all available slots scheduled on the first morning of the show have already been filled.

On the social side of things (especially Friday and Saturday) many parties and events are organised. Whether hosted on the dock, onboard one of the beautiful yachts or inside one of the hot-spots along Moll Vell, these well-attended get-togethers make for memorable moments during which exhibitors and visitors alike enjoy great company and a warm atmosphere. An apt opener, and what will likely end up being the highlight of the show, is Friday’s PSS Welcome Cocktail. Captains and exhibitors will be able to meet and catch up over a drink, as well as enjoy the wonderful canapés provided by Marc Fosh catering. This lively networking event will be sponsored by MYBA, the Worldwide Yachting Association and Marine Survey Bureau; leading choice for factual, objective, and impartial Surveys of Luxury Yachts Worldwide.

We’re proud to announce that Complete Marine Freight, in the business of moving everything from 50m mega yachts to spare parts to all corners of the globe, will be our logistics Partner for the second consecutive year. Another loyal sponsor we’re also happy to see return is DNC Interiors. These locally based interior-specialists, who expertly carry-out an array of services, from joinery to upholstery, are this year’s Lanyard Sponsor. Furthermore, well-known bespoke yacht uniform outfitters, Deckers Uniforms, are our official clothing supplier. They’ll make sure that the entire Palma Superyacht Team will be looking sharp, and on a par with the over 65 gleaming superyachts docked stern-to this year!
